The project coordinator of Faith Discipleship Ministries International(FAMI) said that Information, education, and communication (IEC) materials are essential for reducing HIV/AIDS and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) because they provide people with the knowledge they need to change harmful behaviours, advocate for good social change, and make educated decisions. By raising awareness, influencing attitudes, and encouraging safer behaviours, they act as pillars for health promotion with the ultimate goal of lowering the prevalence of GBV and the spread of HIV. Adoption of safer sexual practices is facilitated by IEC materials, which offer concise, accurate information about HIV transmission, prevention strategies, and the significance of testing. This happened at Nakalama sub-County where FAMI gave out some IEC materials about the spread and prevention of HIV/AIDS & GBV
