FAMI with support by TASO-UDHA in regard to awareness creation on HIV/AIDS (2024), indicated low HIV/AIDS testing gaps, particularly in Nakalama. Many individuals (42.66%) had never tested. In the meeting that took place at Nakalama sub-county where FAMI presented a survey report it was found that men don’t test because they lack interest. Some fear to identify their HIV/AIDS status. It was recommended that FAMI organises workshops at village and parish levels to sensitize the communities the benefits of testing and also were requested to ask the partners such as TASO to take services to the village level.
