The executive Director Faith Discipleship Ministries International(FAMI) during the children’s day for worship that took place in January,2020 at Bumoozi encouraged children to obey their Parents. He quoted Ephesians 6:1-3 “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth”. Children were encouraged to listen and be attentive to their Parents. Children should honor their Parents because they gave them birth, love and take care of their physical needs. Children should understand that obedience to God is the foundation of living a productive and happy life on this earth. Obedience to Parents is the source of happiness and to live longer on the earth. Parents were also encouraged to teach their children obedience and discipline in their lives beginning as babies.. A child that is not taught obedience will become a rebel and that will affect every aspect of their life in a negative way but success in life will be assured if a child is taught discipline and respect for authority. Since the children day for worship that took place in January many Parents and community leaders has reported changed discipline among the children of Bumoozi community area. The chairperson local council one reported that out of 10 children who used to stay in the Centre and escort every rally today only five children are seen. This gives opportunity to FAMI to plan more children’s camps to have time with children and also to conduct parenting sessions for Parents in their coverage area.
